7th International Free Software Forum in Porto Alegre

The next edition of the Free Software Forum will happen on 19, 20, 21 and 22 of April 2006 in Porto Alegre, RS, Brasil.

This is a great event for the Brasilian libre software community, which will be of interest also for the worldwide community. The attendance is huge and reflects a great interest for libre software in Brasil (see my experience in Porto Alegre during the last edition).

I’m afraid it’s a bit late for the Call For Contributions for presentations in the main tracks of the forum, but who knows… by contacting directly the organisers, there may be a chance.

Update 2005/12/14 : The videos of the presentations made last year are available online. Great. Watch your favorite speakers 😉

Update 2006/01/17 : Like last year, there will also be an academic workshop (Workshop Software Livre (WSL)) during the forum, for which a Call For Papers has just been issued (papers should be submitted in english). Deadline for paper submission on February 20, 2006.

FOSDEM again in 2006

I expect it to be once again one of the best events for developers and other people interested in the internals of the libre software movement.
