Cyber-physical technologies are prone to cyberattacks, in addition to faults and failures. The issue of protecting cyber-physical systems should be tackled by jointly addressing the cyber security and the physical system security, in order to promptly detect and react to both cyber and physical threats. Towards this end, this project seeks the conception of novel designs combining control-theoretic solutions together with programmable networking techniques to jointly handle crucial threats to cyber-physical systems. The project seeks to experiment new techniques, research directions, and challenges not addressed yet in the related literature.
